Welcome! I, Gia Tou Lee, am a U.S. Missionary and President of Hmong World Ministries (HWM), the “Voice of Hope” and Home and World Missions Director for Hmong National Fellowship Assemblies of God. My wife and I founded HWM on August 13, 2005. HWM is a non-profit ministry incorporated in the State of Minnesota under Tax Exemption Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. God Called Us In Laos, I was an Army officer. I risked my life serving in the Laotian Army and the U.S. Special Forces to protect the country of Laos during the Vietnam War. By God’s grace, I survived two plane crashes, jumping out without a parachute in one of them. I also overcame five life threatening situations and was not injured. In the U.S.A. I founded Hmong Mutual Associations, Hmong Christian Associations serving as President. I also served as General Presbyter and on the Commission on Ethnicity at the General Council of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri for many years I, May Bo, Mrs. Gia Tou Lee, was born in Laos under terrifying conditions. At my birth, my mother became very ill; my father asked a shaman to communicate with the evil spirits in order to heal her. The shaman said that my mother and I shared one life, meaning one of us had to die to save the other. My father decided to save my mother and let me die. While he prepare to wrap my body so he could suffocate me, God sent my grandmother to save my life. By all of these miracles, we trust that God preserved our lives for one reason: “To evangelize the World with the Gospel” Area of Ministry.
